Bastet Statue
The Goddess Bastet.
3.5" resin statue
The Egyptian goddess of the home, domesticity, women's secrets, cats, fertility, and childbirth. She is known to protect the home from evil spirits and disease.
What might it look like to work with Bastet? Let’s say, you are about to begin your family. Working with Bastet might look like placing a small statue of her on your altar, taking a few moments a day to stand in front of your altar looking at the figure of Bastet, breathing in the energy of fertility and breathing out any anxious feelings you might have about becoming pregnant. Simple as that, you just worked with Goddess energy.
Some of my personal favorite traits of Bastet are more Cat like in nature. For instance, her refusal to be at the beck and call of anyone around her. When I find that I am doing too much for others and not focusing enough on myself and my own needs, I work with the energy of Bastet. I am reminded of her refusal to do all the things, and reminded that I can say NO instead of saying Yes all the time and then trying to figure out how to get it all done that I put on"my plate.
