As soon as the white sage we have on hand is sold out, we will no longer be carrying white sage. Please do note that we will continue to sell Blue Sage and Silver Sage when we can get it, as those two varieties are not endangered or used by other cultures in specific practices.
We are moving to more herbal smoke sticks that can be used in ritual and spiritual practice to cleanse and purify yourself and space. These smoke sticks have the added benefit of different metaphysical properties depending on the type of herb in the smoke stick.
Yerba: When burned, the purifying properties of this sacred wood's oils are released to cleanse the space and people it comes in contact with. It also attracts positive energy. It is believed to heal people on both the physical and more subtle levels.
Pine: Attracting prosperity, purifying ritual areas and new homes, helping "stay the course" during difficult times. A pine wand or pine cone kept on the altar wards off evil influences. Carry pine cones to increase fertility and have vigorous old age. Throw pine needles into winter fires for protection, or burn pine incense for purification and divination. Place pine branches over the bed to keep sickness away, or to aid the ill. Hang a pine branch over the main door of your house to ensure continuous joy within.
Juniper: works to awaken creativity, activating the throat chakra & helping one to find the true joy in self expression. Historically, Juniper was often hung at the front door to deflect evil spirits, bad elements & sickness. It's crisp, pungent & strong aroma awakens the senses, aiding in growth towards enlightenment & drastically raising one's vibrations. This high vibration helps to banish curses, hexes or bad luck, resulting in a fun-filled, care-free lifestyle. Used for centuries to create incense, Juniper's positive, earthly energies promote a powerful belief in self manifestation, awarding the user with great strides towards their goals & dreams. This makes Juniper a magical element for blessings, enchantment & true joy.
Mugwort: amplifies psychic vision and may induce prophetic dreams. An herb of the Goddess as Crone, Mugwort encourages wisdom and observation. When paired with a divinatory method of your choice, Mugwort is an excellent helper for confronting difficult truths.
Bay Leaf: A protection and purification herb, wards off negativity and evil. Can be burned like sage before ritual for protection. A powerful herb that is useful for manifestation, prosperity, protection, cleansing and even psychic development.
Lavender: infusing your space with Lavender sets the intention for peaceful, grounded energy before making art, studying, working, practicing yoga, meditation, saying prayers or affirmations, chanting mantras, pulling tarot or oracle cards, gathering in circle, and engaging in any type of sacred ceremony.
Rosemary: burn to purify a room or ritual space before magical workings. Burn Rosemary and Juniper together to drive the staleness from a home after a long and lingering illness. Rosemary is useful for all spells to accelerate learning in school or work. Sniff a sprig of Rosemary while studying to improve your performance on an exam. A married person may keep a sachet of Rosemary near the entrance of their home (or under the bed) to ensure a faithful and obedient partner. A Rosemary ritual bath or “tub tea” is said to remove worries and invigorate the spirit. You can also drink Rosemary tea for this purpose. A Rosemary bush in the garden is supposed to attract elves and repel thieves.
